VENUE

Holiday Inn, Laurel MDOur venue is the Holiday Inn in Laurel, Maryland.

We have received confirmation for booking rates!!

To book your room for the con, please call the hotel at 1-301-776-5300 and request a room with the code "TC in DC". The rate is $95.00 USD per night, and we have requested smoking and non-smoking rooms be available. (NOTE: When calling the local number, please ask for the manager on duty to receive the rate. If calling the central booking location [the 1-800 number] ask to be redirected to the West Laurel Holiday Inn and speak to the manager. Also, for those coming in Thursday night be sure to ask that the rate be extended to that night as well. Thanks.)

We have two sections of the ballroom for con use, and it is at our disposal from Friday Morning until early Sunday morning. The hotel has been exceptionally receptive to us and our requests, and each time we have spoken with them we have left with the feeling that this is the perfect place to hold our convention.

We have been asked to relay that there is no alcohol allowed in the ballroom. What you have in your room, or at the Outback next door, however, is up to you.

Travel options to the hotel are numerous. If traveling by plane to either Reagan National or BWI, you can take a metro (located directly outside each airport) to Union Station, where you can catch a MARC train (their schedule permitting) to Laurel. The Laurel station is approximately 3 miles from the hotel. Amtrak and Greyhound also stop at Union Station. Metro trains generally run every fifteen minutes. If the MARC train is not in service at the time of your arrival/departure, there are trains that go to Greenbelt (Green Line) and either buses to take you into Laurel itself, or cab from that location to save on cash.

Feel free to e-mail Q with any questions regarding travel options.

For those driving, it's merely a matter of getting to I-95, as the hotel is directly by an exit and an entrance to the highway. One mile in either direction will bring you within range of food, grocery and convenience stores, thrift stores and the works.

Once again, be sure to check your convention program for more specific details of places of interest in the area of the hotel.
